GalaGourmet began in 1998 with a simple conviction: that exceptional food has the power to transform a gathering into a memory. Our founders, Chef Vikram and Ananya Malhotra, started by catering intimate family celebrations in Mumbai — and word spread, as great food always does.
Today, with over 2,400 events behind us and a team of 120 culinary professionals, we remain guided by the same belief. Every ingredient is chosen with care. Every dish is a conversation between tradition and craft. Every event is treated as if it were our own family's celebration.

Chef Vikram Malhotra trained under Michelin-starred kitchens in Lyon before returning to India with a singular vision: to apply the rigour of classical French technique to the extraordinary depth of Indian culinary tradition.
For over 25 years, he has led GalaGourmet with a chef's obsession for detail and a host's warmth for guests. His greatest joy remains the same as it was in 1998: watching a guest take the first bite and close their eyes.
